STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
The Bible
We believe in the absolute authority of the holy scriptures. We believe the original manuscripts were given by inspiration of God and were without error. We believe the God who gave His word to man has taken upon Himself the responsibility for its preservation throughout the ages.
Therefore, the Authorised (King James) Version, is the perfect, preserved, inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God for English speaking people.
We believe the incorruptible word of God which cannot pass away is available in the Authorized (King James) Version and is our final authority in all matters.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:17-21; Psalm 12:6-7)
The Godhead
We believe in one triune God eternally existent as the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; I John 5:7; John 10:30; Philippians 2:5-11)
We believe God to be the creator and sustainer of all things, visible and invisible. We believe the universe and all that is therein to be held together by the word of His power.
The person of Christ
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ to be God manifest in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, without sin, crucified, risen and coming again to receive His church, then returning to establish His kingdom.
(John 1:1-2; Luke 1:35; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ came to save and redeem sinful man through His death on the cross and that we are justified by His resurrection.
(Romans 3:24-25; I Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7; I Peter 1:3-5)
The person of the Holy Spirit
We believe the saved child of God is taught and comforted by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth.
(John 16:13; Ephesians 5:18)
We believe that He reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and that He baptizes all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the Day of Redemption.
(John 16:7-11; 2 Corinthians 3:6; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Romans 8:9; Ephesians 1:13-14, 4:30)
Sin
Every member of the human race is a fallen, sinful creature, both as a consequence of Adam’s sin (Romans 5:12) and also his own willing choice of sin rather than righteousness (Romans 3:23).
Every man is lost and separated from God unless he receives Jesus Christ as his Saviour. The regeneration of the Holy Spirit takes place the moment a person repents and believes and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within, never to depart.
(John 3:7; Romans 8:9, 16; I Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 1:13-14; Titus 3:5)
Salvation
We believe salvation is available to all men by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, apart from human works or merit of any kind.
Salvation is received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed at Calvary for the forgiveness of sins.
By receiving Christ as Saviour, a man receives the righteousness of God to enter Heaven and is saved from their sin.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; I Peter 1:18-19; Romans 3:22, 4:5-6)
We believe all men rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the conscious torment of a literal lake of fire, while those receiving the Lord Jesus Christ will spend eternity in the glorious presence of God.
(Luke 16:22-23; John 3:3, 18, 36; Revelation 20:15; 21:27)
We believe that it is the responsibility of every believer to witness by life and word the truths of the Holy Scriptures and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all mankind.
(Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 5:19-20; Matthew 28:19-20)
The Church
We believe salvation makes one a member of the body of Christ, which make up the church.
(Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 12: 12-14)
We believe that the members of this body should gather together in a local church where they may minister one to another, practice spiritual ordinances (Baptism & the Lord’s Supper) and actively engage in fulfilling the great commission.
(Mathew 28:18-19; Acts 2:41-42)
We believe in baptism by immersion and that water baptism is a public testimony made by the saved Christian, it plays no part in salvation.
We believe in the Headship and Lordship of Christ.
(Ephesians 1:22-23)
We believe in the priesthood of believers.
(1 Peter 2:5, 9)
Second Coming & Second Advent of Christ
We believe in the personal, imminent, pre-tribulation, pre-wrath coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to get His Bride to meet the saints in the air (also known as The Rapture) and take them to heaven until the close of the Tribulation.
(1 Thessalonians 4: 13-17)
Then, at the close of the tribulation (also called the time of Jacob’s trouble), Jesus Christ will return to earth with all his saints, to establish his millennial Kingdom where He will rule and reign 1000 literal years
(Zechariah 14:4-11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
